Damon Hill was the fastest thing on four wheels. He was also considered a genius development driver, who worked and ate with his pit crew, bear in mind that he tamed the car that killed the great Ayrton Senna. He only achieved one world title, but he was robbed of one by a certain cheating German and was denied the chance of others by the political shannagins of his egotistical team owner. How many other drivers do you know who are sacked just as they have the world championship in the bag? Damon’s crime was to ask for the same money as everybody else on the starting grid! Considering that he was about to become world champion that was not an outrageous request.

Sadly- the voting only reflects that the more recent- the more admired.

Better to break it down by 2 or 3 seasons, or better still, ask
other DRIVERS who they think was the one they would least like to race against.

No disrespect to the others, but Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart would score MUCH higher if you asked
other professionals who was the most ’skilled’.

I saw Jackie do things with a car others would never even attempt.
