Fergal Murray – Guinness Brew Master

Fergal Murray has the best job in the world, and he would agree. As the brew master for Guinness, Ireland’s legendary stout, Murray is responsible for quite possibly the most famous beer in the world. This is a busy time of year for Guinness and Fergal, and even more so this year.

As we mentioned recently, we’re working with Guinness to help set a Guinness World Record for ‘The Largest St. Patrick’s Day Celebration’ ever.

Guinness is asking you to pledge that you’re going to celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish fashion – with Guinness, and of course remembering to always drink responsibly!

All you have to do is visit www.Guinness.com, where you’ll be prompted to “Join The Party”. On the next page, click on the “Count Me In” button, where it’ll ask you for your first name and zip code. On that screen, there’s an optional code field, where you’ll want to enter GUNA to acknowledge that we invited you to the party.

In support of that effort, we were afforded a bit of time with Mr. Murray, where we of course got his responses to the Gunaxin Six Questions. We had actually attempted this once before, back in 2010 for a St. Patrick’s Day episode of our Podcast. Unfortunately between his accent and poor audio quality we weren’t able to get clear answers that day, so we were delighted to have another chance. Definitely check out that interview though, as we covered much more about Guinness and his role.
