HEY RACE FANS! Some of you may know me from the Hampton Roads community where I was a pit reporter and television host at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia for "Langley Speedway: Where Legends Are Born." Being a part of Langley Speedway was a great opportunity for me to cover the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and report on some of the best local short track racin' around!

I am a Christopher Newport University Alum, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and was often referred to as the "NASCAR girl" on campus as CNU's lone, female NASCAR columnist for over two years. During my college career, I interned with the USAR Pro Cup Series in pubic relations and spent a summer living in Concord, North Carolina, the "hub" of racing! I also interned with my college athletic department working with our collegiate athletic teams, and WTKR News Channel 3 in Norfolk with their sports department. At WTKR, I even received the opportunity to interview NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeff Burton via satellite before the Daytona 500. What an incredible experience that was for an intern! I also wrote my entire university senior dissertation on women in NASCAR and the gender disparities that exist in a male dominated workplace. I later presented my findings at an educational conference, and the final product was over 73 pages long! That was a serious amount of typing!

I am continuing to develop my career in motorsports broadcasting in an effort to establish myself as a professional and credible woman within the racing industry, and encourage you race fans to WATCH my weekly NASCAR videos for an entertaining look at racing through the eyes of a smart blonde.
