They blew it. They had no reasonable intention of signing Tex they just wanted it to appear that way. They only want to have the fans continue to pay for an inferior product. The bull we are fed is these great pitchers are only a year away and then we will compete in 2010. And I guess CC and AJ will both have rotator cuff surgery. Even if they did the Yankees would be 20 games ahead of the hapless O's based on the rest of their teams. ANGELOS SELL THE ORIOLES !!!!! I will boo Teixeira more than any other Yankee from here on out. P.S. Orioles will suck as long as Peter Angelos is the owner. Angelos will do *just* enough to keep the cashflow positive (hence his trying to sign Texeira). I suspect this coming season will drive the Orioles fans further away and force Angelos to spend some real money come the 2009 winter meetings.
