You know how when you see someone out of the ordinary, like a morbidly obese dude, a superduper model, a leper, or a Mormon, you can’t help but take a second glance (and when we were kids our parents told us it was not polite to stare)? Same holds true with the butch lesbians. Incidentally, that’s the way I prefer them because there’s no confusion like with hot ones, plus, they’re fun to get drunk with and arm wrestle.

Anyway, there’s this group of them that gets together and parades around on motorcycles, and they’re appropriately called Dykes on Bikes (which would be like a group of homosexual cattle herders called Queers with Steers, or a bunch of little people programmers called Midgets with Widgets, but whatever). According to know-it-all Wikipedia:

Dykes on Bikes (DOB) are a loosely affiliated international network of mostly lesbian and dyke motorcycle clubs including The Sirens in New York City, Dykes on Bikes in Portland, and the Women’s Motorcycle Contingent in San Francisco as well as a growing international network of chapters. They are known for their participation in gay pride events such as Pride parades, Dyke Marches and significant LGBT events like the international Gay Games.
