Creating Señor Vader with BuyCostumes.com

Costume-PartyThis post brought to you by BuyCostumes.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

This Halloween we’re part of the BuyCostumes.com Blogger Crew, which means I get to put together my own costume from their vast catalog. If you could be anything you wanted to be for Halloween, what would you choose? As you can see above, BuyCostumes.com has plenty of great costumes ready to go of your favorite characters from comics, movies, and television. But I wanted to do something a bit more creative than just buying a pre-packaged kit.

Elvis-Trooper

Taking inspiration from heroes such as Elvis Trooper or Spaghetti Western Deadpool, I wanted to combine costume elements together into something completely new. The guys in those costumes are obviously having fun, and prove that Life’s Better in Costume. So after some research on BuyCostumes.com, and digging through my closet, I’m proud to present my plan for Halloween this year. Obi-Juan Kenobi has been done before, so I’m going with Señor Vader. It will look a little something like this digital creation…

Senor-Vader

Ok, not exactly. Sadly, that guy is a better dancer than me and my costume will be a bit more inspired. Rather than purchasing a full Darth Vader costume, I’m going to leverage some clothing I already own. So I’ll start with black pants, black long sleeve shirt, and a black poncho (or serape). Using some of your existing wardrobe is always a great way to save a bit of cash, and ensure that your costume fits you comfortably. In order to really pull together this costume though, I need some key accessories from BuyCostumes.com, like this awesome Darth Vader mask :

Vader-HelmetI have to admit, the main reason for inventing Señor Vader is because I really wanted this Darth Vader mask. Check out my shopping cart for the other items that will be arriving later this week, including a black sombrero!

Shopping-CartNow you can see where this is going, right? I love it when a plan comes together. So check back here in about a week, where I’ll unveil Señor Vader for the first time in all of his glory. Alternatively, you can refer to me as Señor Oscuro de los Sith, whichever you prefer. You can follow along with the other members of the Blogger Crew on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook using #OrangeTuesday for other great Halloween costume and party advice. Now I just need to find this guy, and we can have un Fiesta de Halloween!
