Phelps hitting the Bong?
Michael Phelps was apparently photographed at a party smoking a bong. News of the World provides the photo, and broke the story. They have much detail on the antics of Olympic Hero Phelps. We have previously explored Phelps’ exploits with Caroline “Caz” Pal, but this is certainly on a different level. Not that smoking weed isn’t rampant among athletes of all types, but it is rare that you get a photo like this.

Michael Phelps is a stand up guy. I think when you said weed you must have meant tobacco. A heroic Olympic athlete like Phelps would never use an illegal drug!
There are no point for excuses. He has to admit the mistake and not aoligize for the behaivor of himself, but to the kids who considered him a role model. That is the real problem here, not the part about getting high, but the part of destroying dreams.
Phelps struck another blow to the myth that marijuana smokers are lazy couch potatoes. Here is the guy who has won more gold medals than anyone in history, and obviously his health and accomplishments are not hindered by smoking some pot. In addition to his swimming skills, he is a successful businessman who has turned his swimming skills into an enormous public relations platform and money generator
who the fuck cares, if this would have been a beer it would be totally acceptable. hmmmm lets look at the reality here weed never has and never will hurt anyone. how many people get drunk cause violence crash cars kill people beat spouses etc etc. how many people get stoned and commit these same acts?
Right on Mr. Phelps if anyone deserves a hoot it’s you. Congrats on all of your achievements and hard work, you should be very proud of yourself, don’t sweat all the fucktards on your ass none of them could ever achieve what you have and are in no position to tell you what type of person you are.

what he did isn’t that bad at all. Everyone seems to be making a big deal out of him smoking a bit of weed or tobacco or whatever. you don’t see other pro athletes being bitched at from the media over doing illegal things. take Dany Heatly, and Jason Spezza from the Ottawa Senators. They both do crack but you never see the media on their asses. Same with Ray Emery and Brian MaGratton. Now they both got kicked off the Ottawa Senators and are doing shit all everywhere else.
I say this is nothing and the media should stay out of his business. It’s not like he’s going around to all their houses and taking pictures of their failing lives without wives and kids. or a decent job.

This picture only proves one thing to us. Smoking weed every once and a while is in no way bad for you. Just look at how successful he had been, not only with swimming but with just about every thing he does. The only reason why marijuana is currently illegal is because of the Marijuana Tax Act, which was designed to ban hemp because it was such a strong competitor to all of the paper industries. They made weed look like something awful, when it is not. It was all a ploy. People also need to stop doing what everyone else is doing. If people smoke weed just because they saw Michael Phelps doing it then they need to build up their self confidence enough to make decisions for themselves.
