If you missed celebrating square root day on 3/3/09, Congress has approved a resolution declaring March 14th (or 3/14) Pi Day. Of course geeks did not need Congress’ approval to celebrate the event, so I guess not much has changed. It’s just official now. You can go forth with whatever celebration you deem fit for Saturday. In my head, however, I’m calling it Pie Day and celebrating the greatness of pies and not 3.14159. Actually, scratch that, I’m celebrating both. After all, Pi (or π)  is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter. And pies are round. So I see a definite relationship there. (Caution: third base does not feel like warm apple pie. Do not stick your junk in a pie)
