Support Prostate Cancer Research
Gunaxin.com is proud to support Prostate Cancer Research during this month of “Movember”. Our friends at Hugging Harold Reynolds explain:
Welcome to Movember (www.movember.com), the month formerly known as November. Movember is an annual charity movement where men lose their facial hair inhibitions and commit to grow and groom a Mo (Aussie slang for moustache) for the entire month while collecting donations for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, Movember participants commit to grow a Mo.
So while we here at Gunaxin.com made a donation to the effort, our commitment is fairly half assed, as we have not grown staches. That is unless you count when I go without shaving for a week because I am lazy.
The money raised by Movember is donated directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation which will use the funds for high-impact research to find better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.
Did you know:
- Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in the US with one in six American men developing the disease and more than 28,000 men dying of the disease every year.
- African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer are twice as likely to develop the disease and should have regular annual testing starting at 45. All other men should commence testing at 50.
- Prostate cancer is 90% curable if detected and treated early.
Those wacky guys at HHR have posted an update on their mo growing progress. The photos are a bit disturbing, so we will not show them here, but you can follow this link if you really want to see.

Prostate is some serious stuff. If you’re over 50 – you better be saddling up once a year at your doctor’s office. It’s good for your health.
