Nice analysis. I think Chris Anderson would staring on my White Team. That guy is a defensive juggernaut. Joel Przybilla is also one tough hombre and a great rebounder, I’d have him on my bench. I think I would take Walton over Collison too.

From your choice of pictures and vid, I don’t get the impression you are an actual fan of White Basketball, though.

Maybe I’m taking this too seriously, but the whole concept of an “all-white” team is sort of offensive. Why can’t we look at these players for what they do instead of what color they are when they do it?

Like I said, it’s probably me over-reacting, but I just don’t think it’s OK.

Given that Dunleavy hasn’t played this year, and is out indefinitely, I feel like you need to replace him on the active roster and the starting line-up.

Also, if Nash, Dirk, Manu, Pau, etc. are excluded because of their Foreign-ness, shouldn’t Kaman be banished for claiming foreign-ness for the Olympics?

lastly, even tho he’s retired, Karl Malone deserves an honorary position on this team.

Great article. I saw something similar on Bleacher Report, an all-awkward white guy team with Bobby Sura, Casey Jacobsen and Bill Wennington.

I used to build all-white teams when I was a kid on the NBA playstation game, with Bird, Stockton, Mark Price (my favorite), Mullin and Laimbeer.

Great idea for an article! I was thinking about doing something similar in the past but you beat me to it. I think this team would actually be much better than people think. Most of those guys are very solid players, just not stars. They could probably win 30-40 games or more once they played together for a period of time.

I bet by the end of the season, Kevin Love would replace David Lee as a starter. That kid is going to be nasty! I would also argue that Korver and Blake should be starters as well but they would also be great for the second team. Tough call.

If you opened this up to the world so Nash, Nowitzki and Gasol could play, that’s a potential championship squad right there. No joke!
