Is there any reason for the choice of Youtube video you have selected for 8th/9th best album Millenium by the backstreet boys? Given that's potentially the slowest and worse song on the album, and given your less than complimentary description on why they are there on merit, have you got a problem with them and why didn't you put a song on that is either upbeat and well known from the album?

There are actually THREE Backstreet Boys' albums in the top list you have there-not ONE NKOTB or nsync. Is that a mistake? I know their total worldwide sales outnumber both of those groups, but didn't even a single album of them make the list? As far as Millineum goes-I Want It That Way and Show Me The Meaning of BEing Lonely are on that album and my mother, aunts, and all their friends were totally into those songs-not just the teens. Could explain why it sold so much.

You praise the 1986 double CD original cast recording, but the video clip is of the second rate Emmy Rossum and the much-worse-than-that Gerard Butler from the 2004 movie. Better to have had no video at all than use the movie sound track instead of Crawford, Brightman, and Barton whose voices singing the score sold all of those recordings.

goiod points here i think. i especially agree with you on the Alanis front, they were genius but outside of "Forgiven" (which more children should be forced to listen to) it wears rather thin. Bad is def better than Dangerous, and Mariah is def better than Celine (though recently, it has not been so black and white. though i have to disagree on a few points.

No matter what sales say, Dark Side of the Moon spent the longest on the charts of any album (just under 25 years). No radio play only lends to its credibility. And its one of those albums you can't NOT own. I'm def not surprised, considering almost every music fan owns it.

Bat Out of Hell has FAR more to offer than "Paradise." The reason it sold so well is its status as a solid album with few down-points, and its cohesion as a concept album. There are still 2 OTHER tracks there that get regular radio and jukebox play, even today.

The Phantom of the Opera has the worst soundtrack ever for having 2 or 3 of the finest songs ever written for musical theater. Now, if only the rest of the soundtrack had anything but variations on those songs. Its a 3 hour jerk-fest for Webber, who decided he didn't need to write anymore after he wrote 3 songs.

SIlly points really. Just my thoughts.
