I had a pretty close toss up between Mike Tyson and Ricky Williams… did I miss Leaf Whatshisname somewhere… Mike had it all, and was literally too dumb to keep it, while Ricky had it, didn’t seem to want it, and tryed without success to give it away. But about the only thing Ricky Williams can’t outrun is success it seems. In the end I went with Tyson, for he deserved it more.
Why is OJ on the list? He’s only sitting about 60% on the dumbass scale. Win some lose some.

Anybody remember Art Schlichter? Former Ohio State quarterback who loved gambling more than he loved his promising NFL career. And while we’re at it, let’s consider his old coach, Woody Hayes, who threw away his career with one swing of his fist.

I’ll also throw in a vote for the baseball umpires who resigned en masse from their jobs in 1999. How exactly was quitting supposed to get them better pay?

Shoeless Joe Jackson? Before you continue with his name on this list, look at his stats during the 1919 Series…’tain’t no way he tried to throw the Series. Word is that the Commissioner didn’t like Joe because Joe was very vocal in his opposition to some of the rules for salaries the Commish laid down. The Commish decided this was a good way to discredit and get rid of ol’ Shoeless…

I don’t think very many of these athletes are dumb. Stupidity, on the other hand, they’ve all got in spades! So which athlete has demonstrated the most stupidity? Yeah, probably OJ. You’d think he’d learn after getting off from a murder charge. But nooooooo! He just had to pull an armed robbery in Las Vegas.

What about Ugueth Urbina? He’s a former MLB closer who tried to kill workers on his farm by using a machete and pouring gasoline on them to set them on fire. He was caught and sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempted murder. Not only did he try to kill somebody, he tried to kill them with a machete!
