Ten Tips to Save Money This Year
Happy New Year! Ok, it’s probably a bit late in the year for that, but the year is still relatively new, and I’d like to discuss New Year’s Resolutions with you. Specifically, the topic of saving money this year, so we have more of it to spend on what really matters. Recently I took the Money Personality Quiz from Suntrust Bank, and it helped me to identify my inner strengths and focus areas when it comes to money. This year I’ve resolved to cut back on expenses and save more, and I’ve found the resource center at Suntrust to be an invaluable tool in making that change. For example, check out this Infographic which outlines ten great ways to save money :
Just implementing a few of those suggestions will get you on track to spend less this year, and if you setup an automatic transfer of those funds to your savings account, you won’t even miss that money. I suggest taking it one step further and hiding your savings account from your accounts view in online banking, so you’ll never be tempted to dip into it for unnecessary expenditures.
At SunTrust Bank their purpose is lighting the way to financial well being. They help you get organized, make a plan, and stay on track so you can get and stay in control of your finances. When you are confident about your money, you can save for your goals and splurge knowingly on what matters most to you.
